Dr. Gupta is an American Board Certified Anesthesiologist & Pain management specialist (recertified 2011). He is a Tufts Medical Center (Boston, MA) residency trained Anesthesiologist and fellowship trained pain management specialist. He holds a fellowship diploma from the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (UK). He has been practicing pain medicine (interventional and non-interventional) since 2002 in the Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati / Mason (OH) area and has treated more than 3000 patients (Advanced Pain Treatment Center). After having successful clinical practice he started Otrimed Clinical research unit a subsidiary of Advanced Pain Treatment Center, in 2012 dedicated to conducting high quality clinical research in pain medicine and allied specialties and helping develop safe therapeutic and interventional options for debilitating chronic painful conditions and psychiatric disorders. The main idea was to access cutting edge Clinical research in Pain Medicine, Neurology and Psychiatry for benefiting patients and safe and effective drug development process. He has over 3000 patients in his clinical database. Dr. Gupta currently is conducting clinical research trials in Neuromodulation (PI), Sciatica (phase 2 study- PI), Treatment Resistant Major Depression (SI), Major Depression (SI), Migraine Headache (SI), Post traumatic Neuropathic Pain (PI), Opioid Induced Constipation – 2 trials – PI, Osteoarthritis (PI), etc. He is an AHEC Asst. Professor in the Dept. of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine, University of Kentucky college of Medicine, Lexington, KY
